They sure do help with the head rattling,not all gone but much more enjoyable than without them,just needs to quit raining so I can put on some real miles,it rains every day,just one day of sunshine would be sweet. All told happy with the purchase,Buck was great to deal with. I bought buck lowers when I first got my R* back in 07. At this point I've learned to tolerate the head rattling. The amount of turbulence varies considerably based on wind speed and direction. If there was one thing I could change on my R* it would be to reduce the turbulence. I jumped on a buddy's bike (Dyna Super Glide) this past weekend for a test spin. First ride with my Bucks was disappointing I wanted the Buffeting stopped not reduced I installed them like everyone I saw running parallel with the forks this looks cool but doesn't do dick to stop buffeting . I set mine so the bottoms pointed back and the tops just barely hit the windshield it is how a wind deflector should be positioned .
