Anyone have Saddlemen Seats 1 Year, 3 Months ago

Folks, looking at various seats for the Roadie looked at the Mustangs and the Ultimates but saw the Saddlemen Solo and Touring pillion. Just curious if anyone has these and how they rate for comfort.
Curt if you read this, thanks for posting all the pictures of Black Ice it helps to see the Ultimates on the bike, I was curious what Engine bars do have on the bike.
Thanks

I've got the saddlemen solo seat. It took about 200 miles for it to conform to my backside and it was a good investment. It did push me forward a little but no big deal since I am only 5'4" tall. Now about 3000 miles later, and a few rainsoaked rides, it seems to be losing it's memory. I've noticed that I'm sitting back further and it seems to be a little hotter than when I first purchased it(comfort level has dropped considerably). I've got the solo seat.
Hindsight being 20/20. I would have purchased the mustang combination set-up because with the stock pillion my wife rides for only a hour at a time. I would rather have her with me than ride alone. I am considering the Mustang.
I did buy the whole Ultimate Set-up but because of my height it did not work for me. Did about 200 miles on it and just could not rationalize/justify the investment vs comfort level.
My 2 cents.

I was looking at getting the Solo with the touring pillon, I have the same issue of wifely comfort and the stock is just not up to it. I figure if I change the pillion I might as well upgrade my ride at the same time.
Does the Saddlemen Solo still use the standard seat lock release or did you have to "adjust" the fitting.
The other choice is Corbin but I will have to take out a second mortgage to afford those.
Thanks for the response

The Saddlemen uses the standard seat lock. I did have to bend the rear tab for easier installation though.

I would rate the Saddlemen solo seat only behind the Mustang with a drivers backrest. If the Mustang did not have a drivers backrest, then the Saddlemen solo wins.
