#394868 RoadGuy (User) Fresh Boarder Posts: 52 Headlight replacement 11 Months ago   I have a 04 R*Siverado 1700 and I need a new headlight. I have read alot of post but I want to get recommendations for a replacement for a brighter light on this bike. Also the best place to buy. Watch out because some of the junk they are selling is just a standard bulb with xenon gas in it. It gives you the blue color but not the high power light out put. HID stand for high intensity discharge. It is like a flash unit for a camera. Runs at a high speed so you don't see a flash. Kuryakyn sells the trucklite brand 7" and it will fit right into your stock bucket. I had an H.I.D. but this is brighter and you don't have to deal with a ballast, and high-low soloniod. I actually should have stated that I just wanted to change the bulb rather than the whole headlight. So is there a bulb recommendation.
