I have a 04 R*Siverado 1700 and I need a new headlight. I have read alot of post but I want to get recommendations for a replacement for a brighter light on this bike. Also the best place to buy. Thanks guys in advance!

Go to eBay and get the TRUE H.I.D. lights for motorcycles. Watch out because some of the junk they are selling is just a standard bulb with xenon gas in it. It gives you the blue color but not the high power light out put. HID stand for high intensity discharge. It is like a flash unit for a camera. Runs at a high speed so you don't see a flash. Bulbs last a lot longer too. http://motors.listings.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw/plistings/category36476/index.html?from=R11

If you want the brightest and even a low power draw, go with and LED one. Kuryakyn sells the trucklite brand 7" and it will fit right into your stock bucket. I had an H.I.D. but this is brighter and you don't have to deal with a ballast, and high-low soloniod. Now the LED might not be the best looking when off, but it rocks when on!

Thanks for the info. I actually should have stated that I just wanted to change the bulb rather than the whole headlight. So is there a bulb recommendation. Thanks again!

Running the silverstar ultra as well, it's a nice bright white light. God I can just imagine what kind of crap I'm going to get for that last sentence.
