I noticed the swingarm on my 07 is starting to rust on the underside

Maybe this would be a good investment.

Price isn't bad if it doesn't get run up to high. I would get it but mine has been modded and had angles welded on it.

I grabbed it. Buy it now was $200+$40 sh. I've had it on my watch list for almost a week waiting for payday. They're hard to find but looking online I was seeing $400+.

On a side note, anyone know hard it is to swap a swingarm?

As long as you have a lift it's not that difficult. Have you ever removed your rear wheel? If it were me I would remove the entire rear fender and get it out of the way then remove the rear wheel. From there you can remove the shock and then get to the swingarm to remove it.

Depending on how many miles you have, it might be a good time to change your belt. It will keep you from having to pull the swingarm twice.

Not hard at all lube the bearings in the swing arm without trying to take them out. I tried to take mine out and trashed them had to have the dealer remove them to put new ones in.

I haven't removed the rear wheel myself, but I do have a lift. I'm hoping to paint it this winter. Maybe lowering kit and progressive spring too. Figured I'd take everything off at the same time. Only have 25k miles but maybe I'll change the belt too.
Curt, are you saying just lube the bearing and don't take them out, or lube them before trying to take them out to replace them?

Yes lube them while they are in the swing arm only.
