You couldn't be more wrong. I love my R* and Ultra. They both are great in their own respects. I am even considering buying a RSV - I don't think I would go there if your quote was correct.

And that is your right to think so. All I can say is I got over book value and 1/2 cost on accessories on all my HD's when I sold them. You can't do that on a metric - it would be nice but it isn't going to happen.

Does your R* cook you breakfast? Mine don't.

Boycott Yamaha for a year and see the effects.

I'm hear opinions and have no problem with them. It's just the same few that want to bash HD's because you don't like them. It gets old after a while.

I have never understood why so many folks get upset over any kind of machine or services, Ford vs. Chevy vs. Mopar, Intel vs. AMD, Verizon vs. AT&T, choose what you like and don't let anyone sway your choice.

? this is my point exactly. mine doesnt cook breakfast for me, but it does sell for over 20k less. and why boycott yamaha, they sell at a fair price, not an inflated ego driven price. and i for one dont buy a bike based on what the resale value will be. and not for nothing, but isnt this exactly where i should be bashing hd?

I didn't understand the last couple words but YES. I do ride the R* some when I ride with other HD's. It all depends upon what kind of riding I will do for the day. I have a choice to ride what I want so I choose. And I get a laugh when some other HD rider says "When you gonna get a HD?" Or I have my STAR shirt on while riding the HD or vise versa. Gotta love it.

I go to HD Dealerships (also all others as well) . . . I like looking. . .when I get an urge to buy something else, I get back on my R* and ride it, that urge goes away. That being said, there's nothing wrong with a Harley. Yes there's a 'stigma' that accompanies that brand. YES they have more than two colors for each model year, (I like this feature) and YES they are nice to look at. Never been on one and quite frankly, I don't care for the price. ALL THAT LEADS TO THIS. I really don't care what other people ride, I wave at all and not all wave back. I ride with a grin on my face because I love it. I had my hands on a Kawisaki Mean Streak all last week. Is that a bike for me, no. It's my Son In Laws and he wanted it riden while he is over in the desert defending our rights to have this conversation. So I rode it. Did I feel disloyal to my R*?? For real? If someone wants to buy a HD and post it on here what's the harm. . .yes this is a R* forum is it tacky, that should be ones opinion and if you feel it is, then don't post. I'm happy someone is keeping Harley's on the road they are real nice to look at. (I don't care for the stigma though) but all SHOULD be well. You share the road with them, why can't we share a word or two with them. Just my .02's worth.

Oh. . .what kind of oil should I use??

OK. I can agree to disagree. It boils down to just be man enough to like what you ride. I am and I do.
