Thank God she had at least mandated minimums, I hated state mandated when it started but now I see why we needed them

I live in MN and do not have the min insurance. I have 100/300/100 plus PIP of 20/20. I have insureg my bike with Progressive since 2003 and the cost keeps going down every year. I also have 1500 coverage on all accesories. I had Am Family on the bike the first year but then the preimum jumped a 100 buck so I went with Progressive.

I have been with GEICO when it was just for Military personell. I'll have to check it now to insure it has PIP but I think it does. Down here in South Florida, it is rare to find anyone with insurance at all!

Sue,Sue,Sue.
If this person has any income, a percent of their check can be garnished.
Do they own a car, it can be awarded.
Do they own a house, it can be sold to award you.
The party that hit you is still liable past the amount of insurance they carry.
Sounds like you might need to look into a different lawyer.

I feel for you, I know what you are going through. Same happen to me in my truck but they wound up crippling me and disabled me form the accident. I had over $150,000 in medical bills that my hospitalization had to pay. My hospitalization took a third of the the minimum settlement. that the driver that hit me had and the lawyer almost another third. So that left me with about $12000 to pay the rest of the med payments that was way more that that. Now I cant work any longer and limp around like a old fart. Hell I still had 10 or 11 years left to work if this would not have happen. Sorry to to rant guys. Just struck a cord!

Respects
Mark

Oh, ok. I must have been reading it wrong. I am sometimes slow like that.
I had a similar situation once. Called my insurance company to cancell. They asked why? I told them same coverage with a different company. Guess what? They told me no problem, they would match the price. WTF? If the lower price was acceptable what they were admitting is they were overcharging me all along. I told them where they can put their policy and never went back.
