Well, about to start my project but I have a question, those of you that have done the Baddad conversion, have any of you done it with dual exhaust? Right now I have the freedom performance true duals shark tail but I am about to start my bagger project on my roadie and would like to know if anyone has done this with true duals, Help please, much appreciated!

I emailed Baddad and they said they have never done or seen anything like this but should be fine. I would like to hear from you all and hear your take on this. I haven't bought the bags yet, just the rear fender and the bracket kit.

I was thinking of fabricating some slip-ons to attach to my duals and then cut?? I just don't know how much is that gonna run me for.

hoblic's old bike had true duals but I think he has stretched Harley bags, not Baddads bags.

I've done the conversion but not with Duals (my bags are Top Shop Carbon). As nightrider stated, Hoblick pioneered the Duals with Baddad conversion. PM or email him as he sold his R* and picked up a nice HD.
Search on the forum as he left extensive notes on the effort. He had to have extensions built; not sure what brand he was running. A local fabricator did the pipe extension and he made it where he could remove the extension and still use the orig pipe if need be. The issue was the need to have it clear the back of the bike.
Cut Outs - He ran into an issue with the cut outs on the fender and bags and had to do more work here. HD guys run into this too as it depends on your Dual spacing and height so the cut out may have to be bigger, smaller, or shifted left or right.
Bags - Many options for stretched bags including Bad Dad, TJD, Top Shop, etc. I think Hoblick added extensions to HD bags.
Keep us posted!

Thanks for the help! I think I am gonna have to cut the shark tails and weld something that will hug the bags and fender. Man oh man, this is going to be an adventure. I am also considering the plasma rods. Good idea and a cheap alternative to the flushed lights. I think I will wait until next year for that. I started cleaning the garage yesterday and today. Baddad rear fender and brackets will be here on the 26th of July. I am getting the bags from TJD customs, they are 4 inches longer and 2 inches wider than stock. Massive bags but should be fine, I hope.

Hoblick had the bags and duals but he had 7" extentions made to go between the muffler and tips. Thats the only way he could get them out the back. But I looked badass

Sounds like awesome planning. I could not believe how full my garage got when all the large and small boxes came in along with the storage of all of the take off parts.
The plasma rods are great. I went back and forth between the flush and plasma's and went with the flushes as my first choice. With the wide fender and cavernous bags (awesome!) think about if you need something to break up the back presentation but with the pipe cutouts this may be a non-issue.
The mock-up is everything on getting the cutouts right on your project. You *may* also have to cut a little off the fender tail. Bad Dad tells you this also. Can't wait to see you put this one together. Congrats man.
