Whats really fun is when you can scrap the floorboard on a wide sweeping curve and HOLD the floorboard down the entire time, scraping around the entire curve. Just be sure that you are not scraping the board and accidently cross the center line and hit a reflector. That happened too me a few years ago and I thought I broke my ankle.

Dragged the lower pipe right behind the floorboard for the first time yesterday. Still a little pissed about it, but I guess it proves I ride it.

Did it a few years ago on a twisty road somewhere in Wisconsin, was following my buddy on a sport bike and just held the line on the road. Left foot started hopping around while on the floorboard, scared hell out of me, not a young as I used to be and no longer ride like a wildman. When we stopped for a cold drink I looked at the bracket under the floorboard and noted that it was shiny like a new dime!!! Wow did not know I could ride like that at my age, dont think I have done it since but the first time was scary!!

I try and get a scrape out of the floor boards each and every turn. Even though I am right handed and am much more comfortable turning left (like most right handed people) I get lower while turning right on my Road Star. As mentioned in one of the earlier posts in this thread trying to hold the scrape and getting it to sustain through an entire 180 degree switchback is a blast and a lesson in control and handling of the bike.
