Just for fun, what are some of the best lines that your stealer, or mechanic has told you so far? Here's mine....... "yes I'm serious, You need toLEAN that bike out Scott. I suggest you take out the dj 170 main , and go to a dj 190". .... BTW, That was from the shop foreman.

Ill have my best mechanic look at it again this afternoon when his mom drops him off from Kindegarten..the other guys looked at it and couldnt find anything wrong with it....Huh whats that........ SVS?????....go see your doctor he will give you some antibiotics clear it right up ...thats what I do ....Coug

In a BSA dealership a number of years ago. Got to talking to a guy while waiting for the service people. After listening to his bike it turns out we both had the same problem with a mysterious noise. His warranty had expired a couple of months back, mine was still good.

The answer I got "Thats normal, they all do that, no worries."

The answer he got "Gonna need a new piston and some valve work, should be under $1000!!!"

svs problem, told the tech guy I think it's running rich. He said these motors never get enough gas. I guess I should wait till it's shootin flames out the exaust before I bring it back for the 3rd time!

"Sounds normal to me." Honda regional rep, when I complained of a tick that was coming from my Shadow Sabre that was not there before. Bout the time I was fixing to loose my cool, it really started ticking (like I was used to hearing), So I reply: "That sounds NORMAL to you"? It got resolved. BB

Asked the service manager what he thought of synthetic oil - he said "I'm not much for paying for something I don't need..." - then he quoted me 4.99/qt for Yamalube ...this is a great country!
