License plate mount 4 Years, 8 Months ago
I took off the butt ugly rear turn signals and put on Kury LED's in theholes where the rear side reflectors were. Removed the chrome cover over the wires and then mounted the plate in the license palte bracket throught he top holes in the license plate (the bottom of it just touches the tailight). I'm somewhat happy with it but would love to laydown the plate and hide that bundle of wires. I also used two LED light bolts to light the plate, Rear is real clean now but not qwuite ther eyet. Any suggestions of a laydown plate (with mount) that will hide the wires?
Lots of license plate holders out there but I am real unsure aobut which one's come with amount to hdie the wires.

HI Takehikes. I went at my rear licence plate over the winter and custom made a bracket to lay down the plate and also hide the wires - also shed a lot of weight in the process - looks very clean and custom. (I will attempt to add a pic)The bracket is made of 1" cold rolled flatbar steel 1/4" x 1" welded into a box shape that has two legs designed to mount to existing holes that is holding on my licence plate/turn signals (where it meets the fender). I contoured the bracket to the fender shape and painted it gloss black. You really can't see the bracket since its only 1" high off the fener and the plate is mounted over it. The plate is obvoiusly screwed to the braket and I pre-drilled and tapped all the holes on a mill so they are presice. Oh ya the bracket lays down directly onto the rubber grommits that the wires pass thru in the fender - prevents vibration and holds he bracket 1/8" off the fender. Can't even see the grommits. I should have drawn up the bracket on Autocad hope the pic gets attached

It took me a little longer 'cause I'm helping my daughter with her math homework.

We can do it for you if you have a problem.

It seems like large pics screw up the page formating so now we have a real excuse for resizing them.

I like the looks of that custom license plate mount! I may have to work out something ike that on my own, I was hoping to purchase soemthing.

Now how about helping a neophyte with resizing a photo so I can include a picture of my 05 Raodie I have named Black Cherry (gee guess what color). Living in Napa I probably should have named it after a particular wine based on its color but somehow black Cherry appelas to me more.
