Please recommend an outdoor cover 10 Months ago
I have a 2003 Roadie. I would like to purchase an outdoor cover meeting the following criteria. Please provide a recommendation if you have one.

-Interior will not scratch paint of chrome if cover is used in the wind
-Tight enough fit to stay on bike without having to install a cable or lower tether

I have use car covers direct before and liked their covers for my cars and boat but I wanted to ping you guys first.

Thanks in advance.

Dave.

if you don't need it as portable, I used the bike barn, had it for 8yrs and was still holding up well.

Thank you. I will review it. That might be an option but I also need something that is more portable.

Guardian or CoverCraft both have covers that will fit into a backpack. Roughly $70-$80 at the dealership, or ebay has some decent ones too.

Best cover I can think of is my butt on the seat....doesn't scratch the chrome, hangs on in the wind without straps...

heres what you want? I have had this thing 5 years with ZERO issues. Right through New England winters and all without an issue.

Packs right up and weighs about 70 ponds. Has vents so it breather and retains no moisture. Check it out you might be very impressed!

I bought a really nice bike cover off of e-bay for around $50 think they have gone up now. I use it for when the bike is out of the garage in the open.

Dennis Kirk has one made by NELSON-RIGG, bought one when I got my roadie in 02 been using it ever since, fits in a stuff bag and is easy to carry on trips. Use mine when I go to Sturgis and use it when I put bike away for the winter.

I bought the touring size MotoGear Deluxe on Amazon for $63.54. To get it at or near that price, on the page I linked, under "More Buying Choices" pick "Add to Cart" next to Amazon.com.

It fits like it was made for our bike. It goes from the bottom of the front tire (my bike is not raked beyond OEM), to the bottom of the rear (nothing hanging out), even with the windshield on. You can lock the cover (built in holes) and there's dual bungees on the bottom that I hook onto the kickstand to keep it tethered down. It has vent holes to let out air, so gusts don't affect it much, and it's got heat protection sewn in to keep it from melting/burning on hot pipes.
