Yeah, I'd say that was a BAD investment. There are lots of folks who sell their bikes and use the word investment in place of the word spent. I guess it makes them feel better to live in a fantasy world where they can spend money on a toy and claim that it will somehow be a conduit for increasing their financial position. For the benefit of people like the one who posted the Ebay ad, here's what invest really means: use of money or capital in order to gain profitable returns, as interest, income, or appreciation in value. I think in this economy, he's going to find out just what it's worth. Tinker and upgrade because you like to, people.
