according to the specifications tab Line MSRP The new Road Stars are not avilable til March 2008 http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/products/modelspecs/61/0/specs.aspx but other models available this month

I don't know...I'm kind of in the Erizo camp on the looks of the Raider. It seems like a wannabe chopper.

I gotta think that people who want choppers are going to get a REAL chopper. I'm sure the Raider hauls ass, but it won't be hauling mine any time soon.

And as far as FI on the R*, it seems like we all knew it was coming, but it's kinda sad...end of an era, almost. Personally, I like being able to adjust things with a screwdriver instead of a laptop.

My $0.02 ($38.47 with shipping to Canada).

I'm not a big fan of the Raider......yet.....looks like an overgrown early Virago 250 or something.....however....when you see a person actually on it the thing looks a bit better. http://www.motorcycledaily.com/10september07_star2008raider.htm

I like the R* and the Raider 'cause I see more mod potential than the Liner. The Liner is impossible for someone like me to mod the frame. Never keep my toys stock so it doesn't matter to me. If both were sitting in the showroom I'd pick the cheaper one. The Raider I can make it into my own hopper (bar hopper vs chopper ) and 'ruiser or buy a R* and make it into a hopper and my own 'ruiser. Doc
