I ride to work every day that I can (weather permitting) at 4AM. I have to be on the look out for deer constantly, not to mention the possums, coons, foxes, coyotes, and dogs, because the most direct route to work is across back roads. This makes me very nervous, but if I can ride on more traveled roads where there is car traffic I feel more comfortable. I have produced more than a few flat spots on tires due to elk and moose, and then there was the time I ran over a skunk Took more than a few days to loose that smell!!. One of the guys I ride with is big on the " I like to see the scenery" thing. Always pointing out... did you see this? Did you see that? THAT guy rearended me on the ride home from daytona. Thankfully nobody got hurt and I got new freedom duals,taillights,saddle bags (still shopping) etc... It's not a long one, but sometimes I see wildlife near my property and I enjoy that. I like the stream of cool air before my shift. I also enjoy a good nite ride. Our deer are really small in Florida, but they will still kill you in a crash. I just bring it down a notch or two.
