Anyone familiar with Metcruze? I want a seat that lowers me into the bike but does not move me forward and of course be made for long runs. Probably not different than a lot of others, but it's comfortable. I have a Mustang seat w/backrest, risers, and pegs. I'm old(60) and have a bad back, but with this set up, I can confortably ride 600 highway miles a day. Have done over 800. Just lean back on that backrest, scoot down in that Mustang seat, prop my feet up on those pegs and just roll on down the road, all day long. Those risers are almost as important as the seat. By the way I tried to use the stock Yamaha seat, couldn't make 30 minutes without my butt hurting. I have a yamama custom seat that seems pretty comfortable to me.. To get down you can remove some padding ... ouch. To get down but have ample padding the seat has to move forward. You can reshape the seat pan somewhat but the tall battery and seat post determine how much lower you can go. It's due to be delivered tomorrow (woohoo!). Rider, passenger and backrest. Can't wait to try it out. Looks like they are building the backrest right into the seat. Might be hot on a summer day. Interesting looking seats though. Its the best ..if you want to have comfort and lower position but like was mentioned ...the frame allows only so much....if yer goona be lowered yer goona move forward... Gel and squishy is only good on a lazy-boy..
