It has to be the weather way up there wearing your tires out...

You need to move south....

I certainly don't baby it and occasionally do leave a 'strip' at the stop line.

Moving south .... hmmmmm ..... not an option at the moment but we're considering it when I retire.

xmardoc.....Man thats a nice area of the state. I love the beach. You will be right next door to the Thunder Beach Rally. We decided to go to the Pigeon Forge area instead of the TB Rally. Been there done that, I thought the Dragons Tail (Deals Gap) would be a nice change. Maybe the weather will cool down a little more also.

Just won't get to see any (.)(.)'s !!!!

Looks like the wife may need the dry weather and it's pretty humid here most of the time. Her sister bought a place near Phoenix so I guess that's as good as anywhere else to end up.

Sorry but I don't consider Bud a beer ..... I'd have to stock up for the winter.

Dont like them and will never buy another. With less than 5k miles mine blew the sidewall out. "Yes Sidewall" Of all my years riding I have never seen a sidewall blow out on a bike tire. This one split about 1/3 way around the tire. Luckly I was stopped when it did it and was not running 70 down the highway.

I hope this is a good choice, I just ordered one and a new tube. My 2001 Roadie has 6900 on the Bridgestone tire. It's worn pretty good, mostly in the middle. I bought my bike used with 1700 miles. I have ridden 5200 miles this year.

I wondered if the tires might be a bit dry rotted when I bought the bike due to the low miles. But they don't show cracks. Interesting to note too that I have some feathering (cupping) on the front Bridgestone tire, but for the most part the tire looks good with deep tread. Thanks Musky I read the link to the article.

Anyone of you fella's running the Metzeler 880 rear tire ? If so how do you like it ?

Thanks for any info.

Frankie

Just put my Mets on today..What a difference over the bridgestones! They feel like they hold the road a lot better. My bridge' started cupping real bad at 4k...back tire was shot at 6k, and I ride easy. I'll never buy another bridgestone. I wouldnt even give em' to a zoo to make monkey swings out of!... now back to your regular programming.
