Your right starmyram, used to be if your ride broke down
you could usally get it to start and get home. If the computer
goes your stuck Gotta love the manufactuers they sure know
how to make money.

My bud with a Victory was having some work done that required a computer tweek. The tech messed it up and they could not "re-boot" the bike! I was a Saturday and both Victory and the part mfg. were closed. They drove him home, fixed the bike and delivered it. At least with my SVS the bike would run after it got hot

I could not agree more. I ride with HD riders in the Patriot Guard. Most of them have problems with their fuel injection. They put something in the gas in CT, MTBE, which really causes problems...

I will stick with the old carb for awhile longer. Strange engine noises and all.....I still think my 07 R-star is prettier then a RoadKing.

Re:The New Stars are Here 4 Years, 8 Months ago
i have always been a bit wary about E.F.I systems (guess itīs the secret luddite leanings i have), along the lines of `if you canīt fix it with a hammer and duct tape by the side of the road, itīs a problem waiting to happen.

then i started thinking a bit

E.F.I systems have been around for YEARS now, and are as reliable as any other bits on a bike. having ridden several E.F.I bikes now, iīm kind of coming round (the exception being a tc96 harley road bob that was GUTLESS due to the emissions crap and tuning)

back in november, i went on a V.F.I course in holland with jon from S&S. what a system! absolutely brilliant and dead simple. great fun making 3-d maps. with dyno access and a laptop you can have the system A1 spot on far easier than jetting on a dyno any day.

iīd like to get my mits on an injected roadie just to see what possibilities there are and how much difference there is.

i ainīt discounting out of hand now!
