I drive the freeways in my car but I travel the back roads on my scoot. You miss a lot of America on the freeways, when I am trying to make time in the car I don't care. I rarely try to make time on the bike.

The big roads around here are two lanes. If you really want to see the countryside, take the county roads. They will get you to nowhere, real fast. Love those county roads.

Prefer side roads, backroads to the Interstate especially thru the city area..........

I NEVER ride on the Interstate unless I just can't avoid it. 2 lane blacktops for me, every time! I want to see & smell things around me, not deal with semi's and lots of other traffic on Interstates.

If I have a destination and there are freeways leading there that's what I do, but if have only a direction then it's 2 lanes all the way.

I actually prefer a direction over a destination.

Yeah got to love those less traveled two lanes, the interstate is way to busy for me. I'm never in a hurry on my bike because it's time to relax and enjoy just like ks_scot said
