How many miles y'all got on the bikes in question that are bad??? My 05 has backed off twice. Last time I double bent the tabs over the nut and red lockitite so far so good my 07 shows no sign of backing off. I would recommend to check it at least once a year if not more. And my bike is a 06 and it has 22,000 miles and had no lock washer ?? it has the nut which gets punched to the shaft on two spots. As far as getting everyone worked up ,you would be crazy not to check this on your bike after reading my post and others that this has happen to !!!! I wish I had seen this earlier cause now I'm out a bike , unemployed , and looking at about $1000.00 if I bring it to the shop At the dealer today he printed out the cost for pulley , middle drive shaft nut , conical spring washer = $487.98 and that not all that is needed for the job !   Logged     [img size=150][/img]   The administrator has disabled public write access.
