It sure will if you are having a problem bottoming out or too soft of a ride. To me the OEM spring was a little weak so I change mine to a progressive spring. Now it rides like it should.

We adjusted ours up before going to Black Hills two weeks ago and could see a difference, you don't gain alot but some. It's easy to do but acording to the manual it's only about a half inch if that, that you can tighten it.It will work until I put a bigger spring in.I weigh about 190 and she is about 170 but you didn't here that from me, ok.

The stock measurement is approx. 1.5" form center of mounting hole to top of spring retainer. You can adjust to 2.25" safely. It does make a differance however; like Davej I feel the factory spring is weak and after say 15,000 miles two up it gets tired. I went with an LA Choppers spring and what a differance It was about $90 shipped.

Thanks,
I'll look into the spring. It seems you have to get it on a lift to adjust it,correct?

Yea stock spring gets weak, I went with a Progressive spring and that was fine. Then I ran into some money and went with the Progressive 465 Adjustable. That's the final answer for two up and loaded. You can adjust the pre load on it in seconds, from one to two up to two up and loaded. Just what I needed. Worth the price.
