Carb Problems need help 8 Months ago
I have an 07 with V&H longshots and eveything else is stock performance wise. I live in NW Iowa and traveled to the Black Hills a few weeks ago and when we hit Rapid City my bike started popping on decel.Thought it would come out of it when we got out of the hills but now that I am home it still does it.Not sure what to do.Will the popping hurt anything? Thanks

Can;t tell from your picture does the bike still have the AIS installed? If it does then with the aftermarket pipes it will do it all the time. If you remove the AIS it will pop a lot less and even stop. If you already have the AIS removed start looking for air leaks at the intake manifold and carb and also any where on the exhaust. Make sure you pipes are tight at the heads.

Check for air leaks then I would start with the pipes and then the manifold and carb. Use an incense stick to check the pipes and use starter fluid to check tea cab and manifold. Be careful to keep the started fluid fumes from the carb intake it will give you a false reading (idle increase or change).

check the manifold vacuum port that it is sealed correctly now that the AIS is removed, if you used a rubber plug, they tend to dry out from the heat, crack and leak.
