Fender rail and chrome tip??? 4 Years, 9 Months ago
Anyone running the front fender rail AND chrome tip together??

I just bought the front rail and wanted to add the chrome tips later. Not sure how they would look together up front? Before I drill the hole for the rail, I'd like to be sure...

Thanks

I got the Yamaha OEM. Single bar at mounting points, double bar ar fender tip. Single screw hole dead center in fender tip for support.

I've seen those with the tips and they look good together. I think there are a few on this site that can show you a close up pic.

I have the show chrome rail with the tip. No drilling in the fender I think you can see it on one of the photos on the no pork link.

I have both on my Rodie. however when you put the tip on the front fender you may notice that the stud for the bolt of the front fender rail will hit the pointed tip.
thus not allowing you to drill the hole in the proper place. I had to grind the pointed tip off allowing me to drill the hole properly. It still look's real good, But if I were to do it again I would simply use the front fender RAIL.

Hope this helps you decide

Swift, no drilling is required with the show chrome rail.
