Which ones did you get? Were they just the 1157 replacement type bulbs with the 9 LED's? I have been thinking of going to them with my Caddie lights.

I'd like to know more about this mod as well.

Are those turn signals now part of your brake lights only or do they still function as turn signals and is the internal LED a complete replacement type board with LED's soldered on it or a 1157 socket type LED bulb.

Thanks!.

Looks great!.

Hey there -

Greysnake and I have similar setups (they look and function the same, at least). Here's where I got the turn signals and tail light. Jeckes - not a big deal. Plug and play with the light boards, flasher unit and run/turn/break module. I had some issues with the stock blinker unit and just replaced it with a non-cancelling variety. Hell, this is the first bike I've ever owned that had self-cancelling ones anyway!

The whole process took around 45 minutes and I think around $300 to complete and I couldn't be happier! I know that they're REALLY bright even just as running lights - you run the risk of people thinking you're constantly braking (aka you run the risk of being NOTICED).

Dysan911 - The way mine works is that they're all on (dim, but this "dim" is at least as bright as the stockers when they're on bright - like when you're braking) as running lights, the appropriate side blinks on and off (brighter) for turn signals, and everything blinks on (bright) and off (three times) when you brake. BRIGHT - off - BRIGHT - off - BRIGHT - off - BRIIIIGGGGHHHHT (until you release the brake).

Any other questions, let me know!

I got this run/turn/brake conversion kit from the guys at Nopork.com. They've been really good to the members here. A few months back they did a bunch of free labor, shop time and a bbq for a clinic members father that was having a tough time, so if you're gonna buy something call them. You'll get a discount when you tell them you're a RSC member too.

Anyway, this kit has leds attached to a circuit board that fits into your existing turn signals. It's a ring of red led's that goes around the inside of the lens, so the amber turn signal bulb is still visible and looks the same when in use. Once you get the wiring in it's plug and play. The red led's operate at normal power for running lights, high power as brake lights and switch off intermittantly with the amber turn signal bulbs when they are active. You can't tell they're there until you turn the power on. They look great with clear lenses.

Three times the lighting as stock for around $50 and a couple of hours install. I love 'em and I thought they're a great value.

Also thanks to Ratl for this info. This one might be more wife friendly on price and still get the job done.

I don't think Curt's question was answered, or at least so I understand. I currently have the RTB, so do I just need to replace the bulbs with the 1157's?
