Why involve the insurance company?

Unless your policy specifically prohibits useing a car tire there is nothing they can do.

quite simply (and i´ve got a lot of shit for saying this before), it doesn´t matter that it doesn´t say on your policy that car tyres are excluded, in the event of an accident if a car tyre is fitted and is not the type of tyre (motorcycle) reccommended by the manufacturer, the claim can be denied.

there might be cries of `i´ve never heard of this happening, yadda, yadda´, but for the price of a phone call, it could save you a lot of money. only written conformation from the insurance cº will do, not verbal.

as i´ve said before, insurance companies are NOT our friends. if they can get out of paying out and maximise profits for their shareholders, they will. get written conformation and close any possible loopholes.

AAAAA+ on that ! been there

With insurance company's, the money tends to 'flo' only one direction. Get it in writing!
