Any tips, or tricks I should Know Before . . . . 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago  
I got a dyna 3000 coming and hopefully install it this weekend. Any thing i should know about this. or is it pretty easy just unplug the old one and plug the new one and good to go.

make sure to cut the battery box so you can change settings.

There is a artical on iy but.yes plug and play other than the dip switch settings

Its the little switches that you would cut the battery box window for. It lets you change your rpm limit and timing curves.

Read the tech artical on it all you questions will be answered

the retard switches play no role, so don't worry where they are set.

32a curve is closest to stock, suggest you try both 34a and 36a for a number of rides and see which would work better for ya

as far as RPM, for a 1600 set it for 5k rpm, thats all the lifter springs can handle

for a 1700, you can go to 5500 rpm, however, there is absolutely no more available hp or TQ past approx 5k

Another thing you will probably have to do is upgrade the battery cables and starter cable to 4AWG. If you don't do this it will act like the battery is dead. It did on mine......I wasn't ready to upgrade the dables yet, so I put the stock unit back on the bike.....I may get to upgrading the cables this winter, and if I do the Dyna 3000 will go back in.
