Yea, I can find it for $1699 USD and the mounting brackets are about $65 USD. I like mine but If I was to do it all over I would have gone reckless or hd and had some extra cash for mods

At $750, the Reckless is probably the way to go, at least for me. It is disappointing that I have to spend so much and not have a locking compartment.

On the other hand, what is involved in getting an HD fairing and making it work?
What do I search for? Used HD batwing fairing?
Are there specific models of these HD fairings?
Does it require a lot of custom work to install?

Pretty good pics... I think I need a bolt-on kit.

Re:Fairing options 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago
there are instructions on this forum in tech articles....I used them and it worked great..I bought an HD inner and outer from HD dealership then went at it from there..I wanted the option to add gauges...and the only way to do that is HD. at least a touring fairing...none of the other options you see on this forum or anywhere else offers options for gauges ...HD is the only way to go....Memphis,Reckless,Quadzilla,rifle...all NO....BUT do you really want gauges??? I am into my HD fairing for approx.. $800 Cdn... and I got a great stereo...speakers...fairnign...and inner.. but I decided against gauges after all.....sooooo???

sorry.....I corrected my price....I inadvertantly included cost of other items in my pricing list...

I have the Reckless, I installed a Kenwood stereo and 4 Polk Audio speakers and have less than $550 in the whole thing.

I also have Reckless and love it. Installed a Sony stereo, chrome windshield trim and 4 Boss speakers for under $600.00.

The stereo and speakers cost less than $600? Where did you get the fairing?
