Honestly I'd prefer midnight basketball and halfway house there instead of JR. At least it would be something for locals to do.

You have to understand we are a tourist town and this is the last thing we need, more tourists!
yeah, yeah the tourists feed some of us but there is a finite amount of everything. Our city council sold we the citizens of the city down the river WAY beyond any level of what's reasonable.

Oh, and I couldn't stand his ugly ass bikes (at least he doesn't have the word choppers in his name) running around town.....he needs to move to the other Orange County!

Paul JR is not doing just bikes. He has millions comming in from endorsements and he had to have made a couple of mill selling his stake in OCC. he is the design genius and I respect him for that. His father is just an old windbag...just my .02 , which was going to be my down payment for a PJD bike

Maybe a good imagination in how many ways to clap crap on the same frame, but I wouldn't say he is a design genius.
But who knows? Some of the stuff may filter down to bike building in the long run.

I think senior is just an old biker who couldn't make the changes the money people who wanted the stuff stuck on a bike demanded. I think left alone he might have actually made some worth while contribution to the chopper world, but he's old school and I think his dream got away from him and left him old, tired and disappointed.
I think he wanted his kids to have the things he didn't have when he went to work in a mill carrying his lunch box and dreamed of building choppers.

The real heros who changed the way choppers are built worked silently in the backs of garages and sheds and most of them are no longer around, some of them are.

The reason I got no respect for either of them is because of the way they treated each other, the money won't buy respect.

I am mostly just sad for a really screwed up dysfunctional family and I hope they can get it worked out.

My boys remember the camping and fishing trips I took them on and at the time I never realized that I was building a lasting relationship with them. My boys still talk about the times we took the bikes out into the desert, built a fire out of an old tires, ate beans and farted in the tent all night. Dollars can't buy that.

Be careful what you wish for...when the tourists leave your taxes soar or your services decline sharply...or both.
