The holiday madness is finally subsiding so I put the bike on the lift today and did a little detailing and pulled the emblems off the tank. I also removed the Yamaha sticker from the rear fender.

Does the tank emblems come off without damaging the paint Mr Shamrock?

Yeah they are just held on with double sided tape. I use a little heat (key word - LITTLE) and then just use a small flathead screw driver to pull up one of the edges of the emblem being very careful not to touch the paint until I can get my finger under it. Then just slowly pull it off. There will be a little residue left, but it can be removed with whatever your favorite adhesive remover is. Just please make sure it won't harm the paint. I use a little mineral spirits to soften it and then rub it off. Followed by a cleaning and waxing. These are 2002 tins and you can't tell there was ever an emblem there.

She would rather me keep the one with the bags and big cushy seat. I think every guy needs at least one stripped down bike and one loaded down long distance bike, but that is just me.

Hey Shamrock...

NICE BIKES BROTHER!!!!

for the life of me i cannot understand why the black left side crank cover has not been replaced with a chrome cover [LOL] ? asthetics and flow say it should be chrome, just a thought... do i see a gold color lean heat issue on the rear jug exhaust pipe? what is the jetting?

this deal of sleeping in your own room is wrong....medical or sleep issue, to each it's own though gottsa get 7 hrs. sleep time.

you and i have conversed before several yrs. ago about hypercharger breathers.
