Opinion on WWW tires & Question re passing lamp 4 Years, 7 Months ago

Opinion - I am looking for new tires and really like the white walls and that retro classy look. However, I am having a difficult time visualizing the white walls on my bike. It is dual tone (maroon and black cherry). Just not sure if white wall would go with the bike. Anyone has any experience or seen this type of combo?
Question - the next project is to install passing lamps on my R*. I have read various posts here on topic, but the "dealer install recommended" instruction from Yamaha is a concern. I am pretty good with tools and enjoy tackling projects, but I do not have much technical or electrical knowledge. Is the passing lamp install doable for novice?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Go to NoPork or Cruiser Customizing and look through the members rides, I'm sure you'll find one with your color scheme with white walls.

I think the WWW tires would really set it off. I have them and love the look, but theyare a bear to keep clean, no pun intended BB.
I installed the passing lamp as well. Like Pop said pretty straight foward instructions on the Yamaha bar. All wires are color coded with quick connects. The end of the turn signal housing that fits into the bar are really a tight fit, and the lights are a pain in the arse to adjust but really look good and are great for night riding.

I hear ya Cougar. I swear evertime I clean mine the next set will be black walls. But after I am finished cleaning I love the way they stand out and change my mind.
12 working in a car wash. I bet you couldn't get a half dozen kids now days to work at 12.

Metzler WWW are excellent tires and very popular with members on this site. I think they will look great on your bike, but I am biased because I have them and like the look.
But, I'm telling you - the bike takes on a TOTAL new look with white walls. Take your time and look at as many pictures as you can first.

I love the WWW on my bike. They are a little hard to clean, but worth it IMHO. If you don't like them, you can always go back to blackwalls after they wear out. As mentioned earlier, look at lots of pictures first...........
