from MI a 172.5 main seems to be to big most run around a 165ish size main. but you may have a geological thing going on as to why you need such a large main jet.

as far as 150 or 160 wide tire you probly wont even see or feel the diff outside your bill fold ihave a bald 150 and when i put the 160 next to it i could hardly tell it was wider, i mean its like 3/8" wider (10mm wider and its 25.3mm per inch).

finnaly, thank you for your service and come home safe please

Good luck dialing in the carb, they can be a bit tricky to get just right.
Few things:
1. make sure the AIS is removed
2. by the pilot needle from (http://www.maxairengineering.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=ME&Product_Code=RS_MAXAIR_IDLE_KNOB&Category_Code=ROADSTAR)
3. RIDE the hell out of it!

and thanks for your service
from seattle wa

stock tire size works just fine. It's more important to get good tires if you are worried about handling
good prices here as far as your jetting I'm sure the carb Gurus will chime in soon

You'll be amazed at how much you can actually pack in the saddle bags but the extra rear bag is a must for any lengthy overnighters.
