Triumph Rocket 3. I test drove one 5 years ago when I was looking to change out my Triumph Thunderbird triple for a large cruiser. I scared myself on the Rocket 3 - really big and fast - far faster than I needed plus I've never quite liked the looks of the Rocket 3.
Had they had the new Thunderbird out then I might well have gone for that though. Still like my Roadstar and have never regretted choosing it. However pleased I took the Rocket 3 out for a spin.

For me the real "shock and awe" was the Kawasaki 500 triple. Sure ...bigger everything came later, but as far as "off the wall",in your face,so quick your freckles would fly off your face....its the 500 tripple. And thy 350 trip was about as scarey.

what is really amazing about the (stock) 'Busa is how incredibly smooth everything is as well. Most supersport (600, 750) and superbike (1000) machines are quite a bit less refined at higher operating ranges, but that dang 'Busa don't even feel like it's working that hard.
Not for the man that has anything other than the bike to live for, as far as I'm concerned!
Almost too smooth because you blink and your at 150. I fought the urge for as long as I could that first night and when I could barely see the taillight of my buddies Katana 750 I decided I would just catch up to him. I could not believe how fast it got to 150. I have always been a speed freak and as fast as everything went from visible to a blur with the lane markers looking like a solid line that came together 20 feet in front of me I actually had a little @ss puckering experience. The technology is absolutely impressive but it needs to be respected.

Respected?!?!? Heck, it either needs to be properly trained for, and stayed away from altogether!!!
Ever since I had a really bad ankle break in '93, I've avoided all high-risk activities... sportbikes being one of them.
Road Stars are NO risk at all... just pure enjoyment!

The most insane bike I've ridden is my son's Ducati Streetfighter. A 368lb, 160hp V-Twin, unbelieveable speed/handling.

My Yami 2004 R6 wasn't the fastest bike but man that was one fun ride. You could get from idle to north of 150mph in a quick turn of the wrist..
Never ridden or even been on one but all time dream bike is the Dodge Tomahawk - V10 510HP.. 0-60 2.5s; top speed 350mph...

ridden lots of sick ass bad and quick bikes. However best ride of my life ever was on a Norton 750 in very early 70's. I worked at a chopper shop next to the new 57 freeway in SoCal. Said freeway was going to open shortly and proved too tempting to a couple guys at a chopper shop. At lunch one day me and another guy rode our bikes on to the brand new empty freeway, me on the Norton. WFO down the on ramp and then never let up. I have no idea how fast we went, the point is we went a long long way wide open with no one else about....other than the lonely work crew that was finishing up some guardrail work that we went past as a blur. In the rear view you could see them jumping up and down and shouting encouragement! On that day that bike was bad and quick.
less than 30 days later I received a ticket on the new freeway on the same Norton.
