speakers for fairing 4 Months, 1 Week ago  
what kind of speakers should a person get for some fairing,,

what should i look for,,waterproof for sure,,,the speakers at wally world,,any good
let me know what you all have..Thanks Dan

Unless you are planning a substantial system with a large amplifier than just get a set of inexpensive speakers. The watts that just a head unit alone puts out is not going to justify spending a fortune on speakers. Even waterproof is optional. I would get a cheap set of Pioneers and call it done.

I had a set of 5¼" Polk marine grade speakers and the resistor on the back of the speaker broke off due to the vibration of the bike. Just an FYI. I still have the 4½" Polks on the bike,and they work well(no resistor glued on the back). So keep that in mind when you're shopping for speakers. Unless your bike doesn't vibrate.

I bought 6 1/2 Marine Polk Audio's for mine.

I used Crwin-vega and pioneer, then switched to the DB series Polk audio. The Polks were so much better. The Polks are marine grade too.

I used Kickers in mine, about 60 bucks a pair, and they rock!

I bought a Shark system and it was a real POS! Don't waste your money...
