The watts that just a head unit alone puts out is not going to justify spending a fortune on speakers. Even waterproof is optional. Platinum Boarder Posts: 1164 Re:speakers for fairing 4 Months, 1 Week ago   I had a set of 5¼" Polk marine grade speakers and the resistor on the back of the speaker broke off due to the vibration of the bike. Just an FYI. I still have the 4½" Polks on the bike,and they work well(no resistor glued on the back). So keep that in mind when you're shopping for speakers.
