Is it ported or stock? 1 Year, 3 Months ago
Just replaced my intake manifold with a ported barons. When I got it off I noticed the inside seemed to have been worked on (file marks and on sharp points). The new one form barons has been taken down to the metal in two spots but the other looks like it has been filed in several places. I guess my question is can anyone tell from the pix if its been ported and if so is the new barons I installed going to make a difference?http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x363/capitalinspection/Manifold/manifold2.jpg

It appears that some one has made a halfazzed attempt to round the corners. The Barons will be better BUT here it what a completely ported manifold should look like.

Thanks Curt, I would have had you port it out for me but I had already ordered the Barons and hate messing with online returns.

The surest check is to just put your finger inside and feel around the bend. A stock one with have a sharp edge, and a ported manifold will smoothly curve around the bend. The difference is really quite obvious to the touch.
