This is my first post since my introduction. I finally got the bike out and started riding it earlier this week. I took the advice of a member and checked the front sprocket nut to make sure it wasn't loose. It turned out to have a locking washer on it.
So far I haven't found anything seriously wrong with the bike. I did tonight however, ride it to the store and noticed that the speedometer portion was illuminated but the fuel gauge area is dark. I could see a light through the gauge at the arc. Should the whole speedo assembly including the gas gauge be lit up? Any help appreciated.

Yes it should. Most people replace the bulbs with a micro lamp bulb from radioshack i dont know the part number though. I did find that its a neo wedge(5) bulb for a full replacement of the bulb and base. I tried leds and it looked like crap.

Glad you mentioned the LED bulbs again. I seemed to have recalled that their illumination didn't make things better.
I'm considering replacing all of mine. Did you buy the neo wedge (5) bulb and base online?

Yea. I got them from superbriteleds but it came in one unit. Rather than pieces that you assembled. You can use your base that you have in the speedo and change just the bulbs out superbrite called them a neo5 there was 3 sizes 3,4, and 5. I think it was the dia in mm but the base shapes had a different shape for each. There is no doubt that the leds are bright as heck but they didn't have a wide view angle so it made a hot spot then it would bleed out from there. |

Are these the ones?
They call them LEDs. They worked better than the Radio Shack version?

No no no dont buy them!! I can post a pic in a few hours when i get home the leds that i got from them looked horrible so i took them out. Or you can look Up my old thread ”led dash lights” i would post a link but im on my phone and its a pita.
