Re:Bees 1 Year, 1 Month ago
Last year had a bee fly under my riding glasses and sting my upper eyelid. I have never had pain quite like that. Good thing the road had rumble strips because that is the only way I was able to find the side of the road. Took about 10 minutes or so before I could open my eyes. It was also very hot that day so the sweat was burning the sting even worse, not to mention the swelling shut of my left eye. I was stung last year 5 times by bees and other bugs. They usually fly up my t-shirt sleeves and then sting me in the side. I have never been stung so much in one season . I now carry a sting pain relief pen I bought from Walmart in the hunting section that seems to work great for taking the pain away pretty quickly. I had to use it on my daughter when she stepped on a bee in the back yard. It took the pain away in about 5 min and she was back playing again.

I got stung on the end of my nose one time. I'm not afraid to admit it but there were tears lol.
I've also been hit in the head with June Bugs. Feels like a baseball bat upside the head

In 40 years of riding - been stung twice. Got a bee lodged between my helmet and my temple. Don't believe I've ever stopped as fast since. Next time was a wasp up the shorts - Youch!

Yeh, me, too... riding some 42 years, and only stung twice. Not so many here in Southern New England is my guess.

here's one, about 15 years ago I was riding home late one night and had my jacket open about half way, had a Bat fly right into my chest and got caught in the side between the coat and rib area, flapping around like crazy, nearly S%IT myself, pulled over got him out and stomped his ass, so now I ride at night zipped up when I have a jacket on....

+1 on the bee between the helmet and temple. I figure he had to be aiming for it. He slipped over the shield, and slide past my glasses like he was on a kamikaze mission.
I've been pondering riding in shorts around here ......I may have to ponder some more.
