...They do make an *amazing* bike that sounds pretty damn sweet! Glad to see they got back to the classic 996 styling cues. They were such sweet bikes that it was bad form to move away from it. Their sales have reflected that. I hope this new bike helps turn things around for them. A world without Ducati just wouldn't be the same.

I test rode Ducati's cruiser last weekend and all I can say is Holy Crap!!!! I know we all think our R*s run pretty stout, but that thing is crazy quick. Less than 500lbs, 162HP V-twin, 0-60 <3sec and 0-100-0 in 10 sec flat! Not for the faint-of-heart. Don't think I'll buy one but just might try another test ride. The bike is called the Diavel (Italian for Devil)Here's a pic:

...wicked! Looks like they're targeting the VMax and as much as I'm a Yami fan, I'm sure it would give the Max a woopin!

I had an old Desmo head 760 back in the mid '70s.
Had the tank with the translucent panel on the side so you knew the gas level.
Handling was incredible but it was so finely tuned it needed valve adjustments every two weeks.
Six hours of putting tiny shims in buckets on the cam followers. But when it was set it was fantastic.
And it never left me stuck anywhere.

Is not, never has been, and never will be, a cruiser.

It's a muscle bike. Like the V-max.
