This is what I have, yeah their pricey, but I like them and do an internet search for them you can get them cheaper, like on Ebay, however you'll need to replace your stock grips as well with Kuryakyn Grips, http://www.kuryakyn.com/Products/74/Kewlock-Grip-End-Helmet-Lock

the passenger backrest pad works for my 1/2 helmut for short periods. Long periods or places I don't know (like parking lots) use the under seat hook. And never had one taken, but have had it fall off chipping it. Also only $30 at a bike fest.

Mine are made from the Sunday Funnies. So, if it's stolen I just make a new one. Oddly, never had one stolen yet, but do have to replace them after a rainstorm or that week's funnies are boring.

Yes, both my wife's and mine. Hers was a Shoei 3/4 and mine was an HJC 3/4.

We were lucky to be in a state where helmets weren't required.

Went to the BMW dealer nearby and bought to more that day.

I just put it on top of the tank, covering the ignition. I figure on that bike, they are expecting a 300 lb biker and I don't fail to deliver. Have done this at several rallies including Daytona. My nephew rides a 500 ninja something or other we were parked together he locked his helmet I threw mine on top of the tank at UCF. Both helmets under $100. When we got back his was missing, mine was on top of the tank. I hypothesized (1) that since his was locked it SEEMED like it cost more or (2) mine has those helmet stickers including "Protected by Smith & Wesson", "Shoot then ask questions", and "I scored HIGH on my drug test" among others.

If someone needs a helmet so bad, they can have mine. I've been blessed to be able to buy another helmet.

The half helmets wife and I use fit in the bags. My full face fits in the trunk. If its cold enough for me to wear full face wife aint going anyway so I don't have to worry about storing two.

I've had my bike taken from right beside the bike night's place front door with several of my 'buddies' watching. (Turned out they were picking up a buddy's bike for him and got the wrong one. Bought it back.) Someone tried to steal my Mustang seat on bike night last year. They just about ripped the rivets out of the seat bracket. Someone took my expensive sun glasses out of the fairing pouch parked at our hotel in Gatlinburg.

My buddy's FJ was stolen out of the Daytona race track during the 200 mile race on Sunday, along with 11 other bikes. It was parked right beside my Harley. His front fork was locked, you could see skid marks in the gravel where they picked up the front end and drug the back wheel. All of the police left the track when the race started.

So I usually lock my helmet.
