So I won't to see a warrior today at a stealership . When the sales dude took me to see it, what the heck was next to it? A valkrie

So I looked it over and as all bood buyers do, o touched every imperfection on it and made sure the sales person did the same. He told me that they would be dealt with as part of the herrendouse fees they add. After some further questioning, I found that the bike was on consignment and I told him he could not fix most of the issues I had pointed out. I further noted that I don't pay fees on a consignment bike. He laughed and I started to walk out the door. He caught up with me and asked me what I thought of the warrior. I told him I did not like it, if I was to buy a bike it would be the Valk and ONLY if he changed his tone. By the time I got home I had a message from him. He discounted the Valk $800 , the cost of the fees. This mean to me, an ex AutoSales rep that he was desperate to find the ass for that seat. I am going to let him sweat it out overnight but might just make an offer. I hate the color and the hard bags, but this simply, means it is a new project for me.

Wish me luck...

And sorry, but if I do buy it, your are not rid of me

So here is the bike. He tried to convince me it only had 6400 miles on it as per the odometer. However, I showed him enough wear that it had to be 106000 mile. He finally fessed up. However, on that engine, if kept right, that is nothing. If I go back, I will take a nickel for that test and my stethoscope to listen to the parts I know could be issues. Having owned two Valks now, I know them better the he does and I am certian to that of the current owner.

That is built on the IS model( interstate). I owned the standards and the one I am looking at is the middle beast called the tourer.

I prefer the standard so that I can built a single seat machine. If I do the same mods to the engine, then I have much less weight per HP then with either of it's two big brothers.

Here is an example of my last Valkyrie

I stacked each cylinder( carb as thier is one for each cylinder )

I bored the stock exhausts and had a custom ultimate seat made for it

When tested on the dyno, it was 113 up with 145 pd/ft of torque. This I would do AGIAN

After a good nights thought, I think I must take action. As much as I love the bike, the dealership is already killed the deal with its attitude and false advertising. I have no way I can think of to get the word out. I may call the manager and adress it directly with him. If they are misrepresenting this deal, who knows what else they are doing.

I will update you with the outcome of the "talk" I plan to have.

http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/mcd/2933401479.html

Here is the ad I responded to. It clearly states that this 13 year old bike has only 6400 mile on it.
I travelled quite some way to see it because I collect Valks and I could clearly tell the minute I saw it that it had to be at least 106400 if not 206400.

I hope this helps

On the search, I came across an idea and a platform for my next project

Here's the idea I have for the apes

Now for the platform , a bike I know well having owned one in the past

I think the combo would be a one of a kind
