#487592 takehikes (User) Platinum Boarder Posts: 2706 I'll quit my bitching..... 1 Year ago   Sometimes we all whine a wee bit too much, yesterday straightened out my head. Rode from my home in the Napa Valley through the vineyards out to the coast. Turned north on Hwy 1 and rode north for quite some time in brilliant sunshine looking at the crashing waves, while carving the turns. Lunched overlooking the mouth of the Russian River at the Pacific, then came inland along the Russian River through some of the redwoods. Then up and over the hills and back in to the miles of vineyards riding the length of the Napa Valley to my home. I bitch about tourists and crowds around here but I realized yesterday that I just rode through at least three areas that people dream of riding through...the Napa Valley, Califronia Hwy 1 and the redwoods. I'll shut the hell up now! That's one of my favorite routes, I ride it often and yes, we are indeed fortunate. I also enjoy taking 128 past Calistoga to Healdsburg then cut west toward the Russian River and out to the coast.... Then there's Skaggs Springs, Lake Berryessa...
