Congrats! I almost pulled the trigger for the 239.00 ebay'er yesterday too but want to figure out the trim ring given the length of the light. With what I have seen online I like the P7 more than the P6.

I thought the stock ring would work because of how far the light sits back but looks like an extended ring may be needed. Keep us posted!

SORTA shows how much it sticks out

Thx Slothy. Not as bad as I thought. I recall Ultrastar posting pics of a another ring he put on from another Yamaha bike that bolted right up. It seemed to be more extended that the R* ring.

i have a royal star tour deluxe ring on mine. it sticks out more and is angle cut as well

YES, that's the one I recall seeing. That may be hot setup with the P7 light. Thx Smoke.

There not suppose to yellow but only time will tell, I'm running a Cibie E-Code now and it's pretty good but there is some light loss directly down in front.

The block thing went over my head, does it have any thing to do with lights?

If you went to see my pictures of my Truck Lites 27250C... you'd see the STEEL 1x2x3 blocks.

That is where it tied in.

Sorry for stepping on your toes... and blowing you train of thought.

Re:Phase 7 1 Year ago
I've been looking the last couple of days for a replacement passing lamp lens and found a couple sealed beams I thought would work, turns out they were too small so took them back today. I asked if they sell Truk Lite Brand and they answer was yes they are one of our bigger suppliers. Asked if they had any P7 LED headlights. Yes, Part no. T/L27270C - $234.95 each. Company is "THE LIGHTHOUSE" here in Phoenix thelighthouseinc.com and they have about 5 other locations in the west. Can order from them over the phone, the guys said there website sucks so dont even bother trying it that way.

Thought since so many are interested in this light I would pass the info along to others as this seems like a very competitive price.

Edit: Will the P7 work with Dragoons Modulator??

AJ Bonner better hurry up and sell those apes or I might be spending my money elsewhere

Re:Phase 7 1 Year ago
Got it installed a couple of days ago, my girlfriend has my camera so I can't do any pics yet. I think it's pretty bright on high but not totally satisfied with it yet as I need to do more adjusting, It does look cool though, it has a smoked look because of a black divider.

Everything I've read indicates that this LED headlight is plenty bright on low or high beam and has a good spread side to side. The only weak spot seems to be that during daylight traffic coming from an angle cannot see the light.

Why are you "not totally satisfied"?

What's the downside so far? Also, while you are waiting on the camera what's your impression of how far it sticks out beyond the bucket and ring?
