Oh man another Ape question 1 Year ago
So I really like the look of these bars. However I have read so many post now I am not sure what to think if the will fit. I know 12" I will need new cables and upper brake line. However the do offer them in 10's as well.

Bottom line will these bars work with the stock riser?

ok.......12's will only require a change of the brake hose(throttle cables will work fine)
10's require nothing at all and are a direct bolt on replcement.

I have 10's on mine and they were a pretty simple to bolt right on.

Drag Specialities Apes - 0601-0567 END RISE: 10”, WIDTH: 30 1/2”, CENTER WIDTH: 8 1/2”, PULLBACK: 11" - 10” Ape Hanger $89.95 No cable replacement needed! Stock Risers.

You can google that and find them for sale.

I paid 40.00 for my Krome Werks bars on ebay.

Total job took 35 minutes. No need to get creative with routing of the cables and the switch wiring fits with no extensions.

The brake hose is stretched out to the limit but works with no ill effects.

I have since internally wired the control wires tjhrough the handlebars......that took about 5 hours start to finish.

Got some great tip on that if you wanna go that route!

Yeah I will definitely want to go internal for the wiring. I did read a tech article on it. http://roadstarclinic.com/content/view/109/112/ However any tips are welcomed and appreciated.
