I have my own questions about a batwing! 12 Months ago
As you can see I have an '01 R* that I love. I have been thinking about puttin a batwing on it but just can't seem to pull the trigger. I am leaning hard towards the reckless over the memphis shade, I did not like the response from MS.

Here is the deal, I just can't picture what it will look like with or even if it will work with my beach bars. If some one has one with beach bars installed I would like a report and some pics if you don't mind.

I really like my bars and don't want to change, they are very comfortable to me.

Help please!

Thanks for posting this...I'm on the same fence. Had beach bars on my vstar and was having the same dilemma. Now I'm having it with my Roadstar. Hopefully someone will post some pics cuz I haven't been able to find any.

How much difference is there between beach bars and stock? PhatRJ has a fairing with what looks like oem bars. Look at his sig pic and maybe you can get an idea.

Hey that's me! Big difference between stock and beach.

Actually I have Baron's Big Johnson bars, which are kind of close to beach bars but still have a bend in them. They look a lot like beach bars when you roll them down. I had to roll them up some to get them behind the fairing and actually into the zone where the wind was being blocked.

Here are some pics, before and after:

The last is with them rolled up. I'm pretty sure beach bars would be below the fairing.

Sorry buddy, I should have known you didn't have stock bars on that bike. I am not sure I really know what beach bars look like but at least I didn't point out a bike with apes.
