VWH...thanks for posting this. I think I've seen it before, but it was one of those types of things I looked for at first, but couldn't find.

My trip isn't the epic journey that you or many others here have made, but it's the biggest I will have made on the Roadie so far. I figure, between the trip down and back and much local touring we should cover 1500 miles...maybe more. I like the UPS idea...I don't think I'll need to do it for a 1 week trip, but it's a good one.

The bike is in great shape...no mods or changes since the winter and I've put about 3000km on it so far this season. My fingers are crossed for just gas and go, but preparation is the key.

Thanks also to everyone else who offered their suggestions. Especially bthomas and Ricohoc.

Strippers might not be able to help much with wrenching but they might make for a good diversion.
