I had my speedo up to 118(GPS called it 111). Someday I plan to open it up and see if I can bury the the needle. I just need good pavement and a long view.

Took the R* into "triple digits" for the 1st time last weekend. Was riding with 3 friends all on HD touring bikes, one of them decides to "play". He downshifted and went WFO on his 103CI Street Glide, opening a good space ahead of the rest of us. The kid in me said "Oh Hell No!" so I did the same. Went past him at an indicated 105mph and continued to 115mph where I backed off with him still behind. The ride wasn't "insane" at all, felt secure and the bike still had more. That was with a windshield and Curt's lowers.

you could be too fat on the main, it's like flooding the engine, just can't burn all that gas, and too rich will also rob performance.
I had a 167.5 for my set-up when I had the stock carb. Might want to try a 170 or a 172.5 at the most.

I have the Dyna3k and set rev limit to 5k, and thats all you can go with a 1600, unless you change the valve springs, but regardless, 1600 or 1700, there is no more gain past 5k rpm. In 3rd I can hit 99mph, but most will only get to 85 to 88mph. Tops I had it to 105, and still had throttle
