AMA Membership - anyone here? 11 Months, 2 Weeks ago  
I was looking at the Americade site and followed link to AMA - American Motorcycle Assoc. Membership looks like $49/year and includes roadside assistance.

I have AAA for my car. Is AMA worth it?

I dropped my AMA Membership when they sold the road racing series to the Daytona Motorsports Group. Never got a lot out of the membership except discount tickets for events.

I had AAA gold for the family that was costing me somewhere around $140/yr and then found out that it did not cover my motorcycle or bike trailer. That would cost me additional - ugh. So I looked at AMA and it was the same coverage for the cars - less a few miles of free towing (which I have never used) and it covers the motorcycle AND trailer. The motorcycle and trailer are my 2 biggest worries when on the road. I got a promo code in the mail from AMA so it ended up $39 / yr. Haven't used their service yet - but have heard it is same as AAA, as they both sub out to the same local towing and garage services. Call AMA and sweet talk 'em into giving you a promotion discount.
