Why is it 11 Months, 1 Week ago
that my Roadie burns much more gas when starting-up day after day or start after stop. If I take a nice day long ride without stopping and starting my mileage is much better. Is this normal??

Long riding days usually involve a lot of steady-state throttle, and less stop and go/acceleration cycles, so yes, your mileage may vary. Our car gets 25-26 mpg in day to day, but if we put it on the highway all day long, it'll go to 32-32mpg.

Makes sense... just wondering if there's something with my setup that could stand some changing. PMS? Jetting?? The bike runs as good as ever but again the mileage

I ride to work everday but noticed my mileage improves on longer rides like a weekend trip,as said before more steady speeds and less stop and go,thinking its normal

How much of a drop are you looking at? I run about 42 MPG on commuting type miles, and 46 on easy road trips. If I go 80+ MPH (don't want to get run over on Texas Interstates, so ya gotta go with the flow!) I can drop down to about 36-37.

Normal...if I stop n start mine all day...ride short distances... start it cold an hour or so later and ride some more, 3 or 4 times a day... im in the mid to high 30s. If I run straight all day.... mid 40s , .....50 or so interstate.

Same situation with the new Charger we just got..... wife gets 22-24 mpg. I can only get 15 at best! Must be where were buying our gas.

If I were getting that kind of mileage I'd never complain... only getting 29-31 commuting miles and 35-37 highway. I think the gas here in So. Cal is garbage and contributing to my piss poor mileage too.
