I had a trike once. It was about 1975, & it was a Triumph 650 Tiger (one
Carb). It had a Harley seva-car rear end, & a 18" over springer front end. It also had a fiberglass body that was Siver Metalflake & Bright Blue (Hey, That's almost the color of my Road* now!). This was one nice trike!
Well, Once upon a time, a car tried to run me over (I only went out with her once). I only had a split second to react, and I did the wrong thing. I tried to lean, instead of steer! Right rear caught the gravel on the shoulder and pulled me off the road, hit a low wall & flipped the thing (tweaked the neck). Right rear caught a tree while I was airborne and busted half the spokes. I landed in a big shrub (with the trike on top of me), which saved me more hurts. I walked away (sort-of) from that one, but was in bed for a week! Took me another week before I was able to start rebuilding the thing.
I had a couple of Triumph 650 Bonneville choppers at the time, which is why I tried to lean instead of steer. I quess what I'm trying to say is ya have to relearn a few things with a trike.
