Glad you're good Coot, and better at low speed, in most cases. I dug in several years ago at about 65MPH, and got a scuffed up jacket and gloves, and a busted helmet. That was about it. About half that long ago, I did a low speed (4-6MPH) high side over trolley tracks in Dallas and broke my collarbone!
Ya never know. Last time I ever rode in shorts I took a Yellow Jacket up the left leg of them and got nailed 4 times in the inner thigh before I got rid of it! Kept it upright that time!

Think of the scuffs on the ride as "conversation starters"!

Thanks guys, No damage at all to the bike as it just kinda rolled over on the crashbar (Oops, engine guard) and I stepped off it as it was going over.

The damm bee that got me had to be an inch long and stung right through my jeans. His timing was perfect because a couple of seconds either way and I would not be in that exact spot of the turn.

The sting misses the family jewels by a few inches so I could sit with no problem Had a great ride for the rest of the day

Went to Mt. Washington Saturday, and it was sloppy up in the National Park area, and SLEET on top! Did you get a fresh sand wash with the rain?

I have a concrete 140 foot landing strip in front of my place, and I have to haul the power washer out there at least once a month, since the "oatmeal" sheds all the gravel chips in the summer when the tar heats up, and they collect at the end of my driveway because it's lower than the road. I've plowed the front wheel a couple of times turning in, when a I was not staying ahead of it.

Glad everything is good.

Glad everything is ok. I rode my bike to the hardware store and was extremely tired from moving all day, I was turning into a parking space and hit my brake slightly ( don't know why I did that} but the bike went over on the crash bar. A fellow was walking along towards the store and I inlisted him to help me get it upright. I was too tired to feel silly.

That stuff happens and I just take it with a grain of salt. I can't lift my bike, no way, even on black top, but I still like the heavy bike when she's upright, she does so well on the superslab.

Been there done that! There's an advantage to soft bags if I ever heard one. Had the same bags as you, and they absorbed 2 or 3 of those mishaps. Would hate to see what a light drop would do now to painted plastic and fiberglass.
