Maybe because Shacky started the thread and he was quoted in the post? Really wasn't a stretch to assume that Shacky was who Keggy was referring to. Read the whole thread before posting.

All righty then. Wake up on wrong side of bed did we? I don't seem to recall asking you what the f#$@ you thought of my pillion and sissy bar...

Humblest apologies, and no offense intended, but here's the facts:

1) A bike with a sissy bar cannot look slammed. The lines are counter-productive.

2) No factory cruiser ever had its looks improved by the addition of a sissy bar.

Passenger seats and backrests are a necessary evil we sometimes require to keep the other half happy.

I LOVE slammed solo baggers. Add a top box and the slammed look is wasted.

Hope this clears it up.

I like my low two up ride, soon to be slammed bagger. All personal preference bro... ya don't have to be an ass just cause you don't like one style... Guy asked a question about ride quality, not who hates his look....

I did read the whole post and thread and I didn't ASSUME anything. I,m not trying to start a war BUT people do have a right to their own opinion even if they aren't very tactful

I was looking at my bike tonight. Thinking how much better it would look and feel with lower rear end. I've been hesitant to do it because before upgrading to progressive springs front and rear I was bottoming out and scraping floorboards.

So how much clearance (lean) and shock travel do you trade with the flip and grind?

I have to say that I really like my bike with the flip and grind done to it depending on what pipes you are running your wieght all this adds to the scraping thing my pipes did not scratch the pavement until I added the turn out/downs. I like taking curves and twisties as fast as I can get going, scratching foot boards is part of it. Give a shot Man, if don't like the way it handles or you scrape more then you think you otta change it back and put the adjustable bones on it does not take long at all so long as you have bike lift and an extra jack to keep the back tire up.

Y'all simmer down. I think the point was that the OP did not ask for opinions on how it looked. He ask about the ride and if it bottomed out much after doing the flip. So in this case the comment about how it looks was unsolicited as well as uncalled for unless it was added as a foot note to an answer about the original question. Keggy has already apologized so its time to move on. Funny how threads can get twisted in just a few pages. I bet there is a scientific study that could be done concerning that phenomenon.

Footnote: I did the flip to my wifes 07' and she has not reported any bottoming out issues. It is a solo bike though and she does not weigh near what I do at 220. I have never experienced any bottoming out myself but to be honest I probably have not ridden it but about 500 miles so far.

Thanks for the apology Keggy. I was doing a double take when I read your post.

Updating my sig pic as bike has a couple of changes:

Just my 2 cents, I have a "slammed" bike, and it sucks. You have to be very careful cornering, it rides stiff as hell, and forget about two up.
