Does anyone know if the stator and rectifier of a warrior/raider/1700 roadie will fit on my 03 Roadstar?

Pretty sure it will. It's been discussed here before but if I'm wrong maybe someone will set me straight.

The middle stock part numbers are the same from a "Raider" to a Roadie, but the plugs are different, and the Raider costs more.
Can't tell by parts fiche pick of warrior if plug are same for stators.
As far as rectifiers, could also be the issue, the style of the plug connectors.
And since the raider is not even using the same engine as a Roadie/Warrior, I wouldn't go that route.
Sometimes it just doesn't pay to take a chance.

Yes... you can put a stator from an 05-07 Road Star in your 03... I have a 2000 and that's what I did when mine went out... as far as the warrior, im pretty sire it will work as well cause it should be the same as the 1700... don't know about the Raider though

I read in the tech articles that the 05 and up stator put out less amps than the 04 and under. Is this the case for you?

Better go back and read it, but put your glasses on. LOL
from 99 to 04 were the same, yes, the first yr of the 1700 engine used the same charge system as the 1600's.
1600
stator rated at 21 amps
rec/reg input rated at 18amps
as per service manual
here lies 2 issues,
stator is weak to begin with, and should your bike be pulling the entire 21amp load, the input to the rectifier is only rated at 18amps. If you keep putting in more amps to a lower amp rated input you will eventually kill the rectifier
1700's
stator rated at 29amps
rec/reg input rated at 35amps
as per service manual
There are no other after market stators that are rated higher than the OEM
As far as "Ricks" stators, my dealer will not use them, they have had more out of box failures than good
Electrosport stators are not rated any higher either, and they have had 2 issues in the past, and as far as I know, in 6yrs have yet to correct them, 1, not all the mounting screw holes line up so 1 less bolt holds it in place. 2, the wires exiting the casing, have to be twisted around, since they are pointing inward and not out.
